For 20 years I worked with a leading web development company starting as a junior web developer and rising to the post of Chief Operating Officer. During this time I was responsible for developing well over 300 websites, ranging from simple marketing sites to complex booking engines and e-commerce portals. I am currently a free-lance web developer and technology consultant. I mainly work with a Barbados web development company, and a Canadian marketing agency, as well as with clients with whom I have developed strong professional relationships over many years. I am very interested in emerging technologies and have recently completed courses on chatbot development, and am working on a side project using Flutter for cross-platform mobile app development. My philosophy is that websites are becoming just one cog in a large marketing & fulfillment wheel. That wheel needs to meet and interact with customers wherever they are - through social, on mobile, with voice assistants, etc., as well as via search and direct channels. I began my artistic journey in secondary school studying Art up to A Levels. I achieved 3 1s in Art with 1 in Visual Art at CSEC Level and 2 in Art and Design at CAPE level in both units 1 & 2. I studied Art during the pandemic which meant I developed a lot of my skills on my own as there was no access to the hands-on learning needed for art. This forced me to be more creative and out of the box while being very meticulous as there was no one readily available to look over my work. I am passionate about creating and pushing the boundaries of creativity. My work while studying was very out of the box and conveys the imagery that only I could see in my mind when I get an idea.
